Gochujang chicken marinade

This Korean-style marinade works great for grilled chicken, but you can also pan fry, roast, or air fry it. Portioned for about 1 pound of boneless chicken.



3 tbspgochujang
1/2 tbspgochugaru
1 tbspmirin
1 tbspbrown sugar
1 tbsponion powder
1/4 cupSprite or 7-Up
2 tspsoy sauce
2 tspminced garlic
2 tspminced garlic
pinchground black pepper


  1. Mix ingredients
  2. Marinate chicken for at least 1 hour


  1. Gochujang and gochugaru can be found in any korean grocery store (or store with korean foods).
  2. I’ve mixed the leftover marinade with some chicken broth and made soup out of it. You could also cook it down (with some water if necessary) to make a sauce. Don’t waste it!
