Baked Caramel Corn
Ingredients
1 cup | margarine |
2 cups | brown sugar |
1/2 cup | corn syrup |
1 tsp | salt |
1/2 tsp | baking soda |
1 tsp | vanilla |
1 1/2 cups | unpopped popcorn |
Directions
- Pop popcorn.
- Melt margarine, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt together. Be generous with sugar and syrup when measuring.
- Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, then boil 5 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat.
- Stir in baking soda and vanilla.
- Gradually pour over popped corn, mixing well.
- Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
