Farmhouse Barbeque Biscuits

Biscuit Dough

2 cupsflour
1 Tbspbaking powder
1 tspsalt
1/4 cupshortening
3/4 cupmilk


1 lbground beef
1/2 cupketchup
3 Tbspbrown sugar
1 Tbspvinegar
1/2 tspchili powder
1 cupshredded cheddar cheese


  1. To make biscuits: mix dry ingredients, cut in shortening, then mix in milk.
  2. Roll out dough. Cut circles to fit in muffin tin like tart shells.
  3. For filling: brown ground beef. Mix next four ingredients and add to beef.
  4. Spoon beef mixture into each biscuit cup, using about 1/4 cup for each.
  5. Sprinkle each cup with cheese.
  6. Bake for 15 - 20 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from tin.
